Should parents help their children in homework?

Writing homework is a bit creepy work for kids. They encounter problems frequently and need help to complete the task. Many teachers suggest them not to help their child in order to polish their skills.
But, this is not a right approach. After all, parents are the first teachers to their kids. They should help their children in dealing with homework problems. It is because no one can teach them and cannot provide friendly homework help as needed.

I am not saying to write their homework but you should guide them how to reach the solution. Like, if he is facing problem in math, you can help them in revising the formulas, explain the concept, and motivate him/her to do lot of practice.

Let us explore the reasons why you should help your students in doing homework: -

Your child trust you

The big factor to help your children is they trust you. For them, you are the one who knows everything. If you will not help them, they will find the task as impossible one. So, your help will give him/her a moral support.

It will create a friendly educational atmosphere in the home

Any teacher can try his/her best but cannot replace parents. Even, if a teacher is polite to students then also they fear to ask question to them. So, you should get regular updates from your children about what they learn in the school hours. Ask them, if they have any problem regarding homework. He/she will discuss with you. Take regular study session and f possible try to answer their queries in practical manner using digital or real objects. It will boost educational interest among your kids. Once they find education interesting, they will do homework with craze.

So, always be there for your kids and help them whenever needed. But, remember to just guide them instead of doing complete homework on his/her behalf.
